How the world is... Through an individual lens

Now time for another reason why I'd never be a politician. I mean, there's so many perspectives that everyone has a right to formulate an opinion on, but this is just my own. It is likely to be controversial in places, and if needs be, corrected where necessary.

But what is the true state of the world? Is it one where equality and unity shine? Most certainly not. We are all selfish in a way, though there are people out there who give so much and receive very little if anything in return. Putting this into an occupational context, we have medical, armed forces, firefighters, and police services, who repeatedly put their lives on the line for the preservation of others. Yes there's going to be a few bad eggs, and a bit of corruption or personal views infiltrating how these are run, or even so much red tape that you can't risk cutting through it in any way, for fear of penalisation, but does no-one understand that like any other occupation, there's safety of the general public at risk if these services are stretched or continually hacked away at?

That's one thing this current conservative government in the UK has clearly lost sight of. It's all well and good making the rich richer, and the poor poorer, but when it's affecting a national state of health, the personal mindsets of the general public, the safety to own possessions, then questions must clearly be asked of how inhumane these elected officials actually are.

Never mind joe bloggs down the road fought for the freedom of the UK in world war 2, we'll hang him out to dry with barely enough supplies to 'exist' - never mind the sister on the maternity ward with newcomers aplenty, who can't see her family for more than 7 hours a day due to staffing cutbacks that then have struggles maintaining targets - never mind the warring troops in Iraq/Afghanistan/Syria who risk life and limb for the benefits of a greedy few posh snobs (for want of a better choice of words there aren't many) - and never mind the chief officer in a station who has to deal with more crimes committed than officers available, but the officers are penned in behind desks because of the red tape surrounding each reported case that the lesser ones get lighter rulings because of the shortfalls in staff levels.

The current conservative government is doing very little to appease this trend. In fact, it's doing everything it can to run into the ground what was built up across the UK pre-thatcher times.

Ok, so there's a bit of 'pressure' from the Central European hub in Brussels too, but isn't there an ounce of humanity in these elected officials to do what is right for the people they are supposed to be a representation of?

Tax avoidance is huge for those who have multi-millions, and yet they are still allowed to find ways to avoid it? If everything owed was paid up, the overall quality of life would go up for a number of people, but no, they want sheep that do their bidding and live the way they want them to.

Or is there more to it? There could well be huge funding from corporations, (yes, Google included), about how they can pay minimal in taxes, and be allowed to let slide, because they fund the sponsorships and endorsements of said politicians?

Now I'm not saying this as a fan of Jeremy corbyn. Far from it. This is more of a neutral view, because irrespective of the governments, this has been slowly deceived and twisted in 'elector able' gains under debates, and yet backhand schemes to push through certain unliked agendas are still operating. Blair said it was ok to invade Iraq/Afghanistan - at the side of George w. Bush. Was he in his pocket?

Humanity will not likely recover if we're constantly fighting the battle, not necessarily the changes, but the battle between living and existing. We're encouraged to live, but how does that work when more and more (1 in 4) have bouts of 'depression' at some point in their lives? Some have it for a lot longer, and not just physical health but mental health isn't necessarily taken seriously enough. But at the same time, 40 years ago, yes there were less people in the world, but there were also a lot more social activities going on, a lot less 'inside time' for teenagers, a lot more respect/discipline, that has been since removed, and we wonder why the world has got into this mess?

I'm not wanting to get stuck in the past, as these things naturally evolve and progress. But people were more amicable? Nowadays people can't even send replies on 'dating websites' - preferring to just ignore random peoples advances (personal experience helps there). Or the overall picture that 'sex sells' and looks while not important, seem to be a burden on those, like me, who get shafted because there's 'no muscles, no tattoos, no car'. Personality is craved, yet people don't look too far beyond the superficial exterior.

Needless to say, 40 years ago there wasn't the likes of the asbo. But respect was earned not demanded. If you did wrong you were punished. An occasional smacked bottom did me no harm. But parents can't discipline their poorly behaved children without being 'labelled' as a child abuser.

Society sure does suck as a result. And this has been all more revolutionary since the days of thatcher in power of the UK conservative government. Now we're living in fear, fed bad news on a whim to put us into hating each other (Muslims into terrorists being a recent show), instead of spreading much love and gratuity towards each and every person.

Give me a world of 'Ellen degeneres' and her humanitarian style any day over this which we live in. Because I'd rather see that than what's currently stoking the worlds fire.
